What is Osvalin?
Osvalin contains silicon in the form of hydrolyzed sio2, the only form of active biological silicon with a high rate of absorption. One ml edible solution of Asvalin contains 150 mg sio2. The high rate of magnesium citrate combined with vitamin C (80 mg vit C + 315 mg Mg) in the edible powder increases absorption of sio2.
Contrary to silicon existing in ponytail plant or colloid gels, which have big structures and therefore are to be converted to hydrolyzed silicon to be digested in the digestive system, Osvalin is absorbed directly through walls of the digestive system.
Sio2 contained in Osvalin is obviously the best form of silicon to choose.

- Stimulant of building collagens and bones
Silicon is an important element in building bones and skeleton of the body and plays as substantial role in osteoblast cellules. The rate of silicon in immature bone tissues is 25% higher than mature ones, showing the role of silicon in the growth and development of initial tissues of bones.

- Silicon is an effective factor in the health of bone tissues. (It is a main element in osteoblast cellules.)
Silicon has apparent effects during the initial stages of producing collagen and bones. Collagen is an effective in the strength of bones, because collagen is the ground structure of bones. The more solid the collagen fibers are and the more strong their joints are, the denser (higher BMD) and the more healthful and stronger the bones are.

- The main input way of silicon to the body is the digestive system. The structure of any type of silicon ought to be broken to smaller and soluble type of Si(OH)4. 50% of such form is easily absorbed and excreted by the body.
Big forms of silicon such as colloid and polymer ones have too big structures to be absorbed and are, therefore, excreted together with feces.

- What is osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is the most prevalent metabolic disease of bones.
In this disease, mineral and organic material of bones is reduced to certain degrees. Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become weak and fragile increasing the risk of fracture of bones.
Osteoporosis means reduction of bone mineral density (BMD), in which bones will become weak and fragile, and risk of their fracture increases. Osteoporosis usually aggravates gradually until there is a fracture.
The maximum density of bones depends on factors as follows:
Genetic factors/ sex/ race/ physical activity
In both sexes, the osteoporosis occurs when they become old. In women, it is aggravated when the estrogen hormone is no longer produced in the age reaching menopause.
In addition, the risk of suffering from osteoporosis increases in human after long time use of some of medicines such as cortons and suffering from diseases such as hyperthyroid, celiac, and hyperparathyroidism.
Osteoporosis is a silent disease, i.e. it remains with no symptoms until the patient approaches a physician because of pains or fractures.
Osteoporosis is a prevalent metabolic disease of bones, in which bone masses are reduced generally and sharply (porosity of bones), when quantities and not qualities of components of bones change. In this disease, activities of osteoclast cellules increase. Meanwhile, women suffer from osteoporosis far more than men. Moreover, the risk of suffering from osteoporosis increases with the age.
As the maximum bone density occurs usually before ages of 30-35 years, it is needed to use nutrition supplements such as calcium, vitamin D, silicon … to prevent osteoporosis particularly after such ages.
Because of its universal prevalence, osteoporosis is considered as a factor relating to the public health. It is estimated that more than 200 million people suffer from this disease all over the World. Studies made by the Iranian Ministry of Health show that 47% of women and 44% of men over 50 years old suffer from shortage of bone masses in Iran. Furthermore, 4.6% of people between 20 and 70 years old suffer from osteoporosis of the back bone in Iran. Every forth Iranian woman older than 50 years suffers from osteoporosis.
Osvalin effect on Osteoprosis:
Silicon content of Osvalin increases thicknesses of organic and mineral material of bones (mineralization) and is effective on preventing and curing osteoporosis because of its effects on the process of building and strengthening collagen fibers.
Moreover, Osvalin increases activities of osteoblast cellules (The increase in activities of osteoclast cellules account as compared with those of osteoblast ones is another cause of osteoporosis.)
Therefore Osvalin plays an important role in bone density and preventing and slow the progress of osteoporosis.
